Iván Navarro (1979) es un fotógrafo documental valenciano, graduado en Fotografía y Creación Audiovisual por la EASD de València.

Su trabajo parte de una profunda fascinación por la capacidad de la imagen para transformar la realidad. Utiliza el medio como motor de búsqueda para establecer una conexión con su entorno más cercano, ya sea humano o geográfico.

Trata de explorar las oportunidades que brindan la edición y la secuenciación de imágenes en la construcción de historias; le interesan especialmente las posibilidades narrativas que ofrecen las publicaciones en papel. Sus fotografías han formado parte de diversos libros colectivos, y han sido incluidas en medios como VICE, Broad Magazine, Forbes o Ferida. Ha autoeditado tres libros hasta la fecha. Estos y otros proyectos han sido seleccionados en certámenes nacionales e internacionales, entre ellos Photometria, Rendez-Vous o PHotoEspaña, y expuestos en museos como el MuViM o el Mubag.

Paralelamente, desarrolla su labor docente. Ha impartido cursos y talleres en festivales de fotografía como Photon o PHotoEspaña y entidades públicas tales como el Ayuntamiento de Valencia, el SARC o escuelas superiores de arte y diseño en València, Orihuela y Castellón.

Iván Navarro (1979) is a Valencian documentary photographer with a degree in Photography and Audiovisual Creation from EASD Valencia.

His work emanates from a deep fascination with the image’s ability to transform reality. He uses the medium as a tool for exploration, seeking to establish a connection with his immediate environment, whether human or geographical.

He aims to explore the possibilities offered by editing and sequencing images in the construction of stories; is especially interested in the narrative possibilities offered by paper publications. His photographs have been featured in various collective books and published in media such as VICE, Broad Magazine, Forbes, and Ferida. He has self-published three books to date. These and other projects have been selected in national and international festivals, including Photometria, Rendez-Vous, and PHotoEspaña, and exhibited in museums such as MuViM and Mubag.

In parallel, he also works as an educator. He has taught courses and workshops at photography festivals such as Photon and PHotoEspaña, as well as for public institutions like the City Council of Valencia, the SARC, and Arts & Design Schools in Valencia, Orihuela, and Castellon.
